Handful of Wheel Season 3

S3 Ep. 1 LISA MARIE BASILE / LIGHT MAGIC FOR DARK TIMES In this first episode of season three, we ride with poet, essayist, and founding creative director of Luna Luna Magazine, Lisa Marie Basile. While bumping over the streets of Long Island City, we talk about work and play, dark magic and light, and social media in all its confining glory. We talk about how to care for our bodies in these times where even waking up feels like a challenge.

S3 Ep.2 ROBYN KANNER / DESIGN Join us for episode two of season three, and listen to designer and writer Robyn Kanner talk with us on a drive from Brooklyn to the Lower East Side. It was a warm night, with some hot coffee and an equally hot convo. Listen up! As usual, you’ll find links below to some of Robyn’s work, along with a link to her RAD playlist that feels like a goddamned love letter straight to our hearts. And we accept, with pleasure.

S3 Ep. 4 MAHOGANY L BROWNE Mahogany L. Browne is a California born, Brooklyn based writer, educator, activist, mentor, and curator. We first saw her at a reading at Greenlight bookstore in Ft Greene Brooklyn and we were struck. Since then she’s held teaching and mentoring positions at the Neyourican, BRIC, BAM, Pratt, and even more positions both nationally and internationally. In short, she is a force. And if that wasn’t perfectly clear in writing, it became crystal clear in real life on our ride this spring where we talk about everything from travel, to eating, the idea of “pressure cooker” art, and finally, when enough is enough. Take a listen.  Original music by Arlen Ginsburg <3
